Memphis Pencils release Shhh, I’m Rustic and tour U.S.

      In early 2011, Art Amiss awarded a $300 grant to the Fayetteville, Arkansas based band Memphis Pencils to assist them with the mastering of their first full-length album, Shhh, I’m Rustic.

     On the physical CD release as well as on the group’s Bandcamp page, Memphis Pencils graciously acknowledged Art Amiss’ contribution to their album:

“Mastering paid for by Art Amiss, Inc., a Fayetteville, Arkansas-based artists’ collective with the expressed purpose of giving opportunities to emerging artists living in or working from Arkansas. artamiss.org”

Following a CD release party for their new album, Shhh, I’m Rustic, on July 8^th at the Smoke & Barrel Tavern, Fayetteville’s Memphis Pencils embarked on a successful nine state/eleven city tour from July 19^th to August 6^th.
